Even Bentley aren’t immune from the lure of creating Limited Edition cars to garner extra sales and revenue, so say hello to a car Bentley say is the pinnacle of British Luxury Motoring – the Bentley Birkin Mulsanne Limited Edition. Inspired by Tim Birkin – one of the fabled Bentley Boys – the Birkin Mulsanne comes with a number of cosmetic tweaks, extra equipment as standard and a set ofd bespoke luggage to make it stand out from the ‘regular’ Mulsanne. The extra equipment includes Mulliner Driving Specification which adds in a ‘Sport’ setting as well as the traditional quilted upholstery, leather headlining and knurled detailing on the interior metalwork.
Land Rover has revealed a surprisingly comprehensive facelift for the Discovery range here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – and the firm has underlined the changes with some new badging for the Discovery range. Instead of having ‘LAND ROVER’ on the bonnet, the new Discovery has, well, ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering. That’s because Land Rover wants to make Discovery into its own brand, a bit like Range Rover: here at Frankfurt 2013, we’re seeing the first steps in this rebranding.
The Range Rover Sport Autobiography will debut at Frankfurt
Land Rover are only planning on building 500 RRS Autobiography cars (we’re back to the limited edition 4x4s to boost flagging sales – as with the BMW X5 10th Anniversary model), and each will come equipped with a new body kit, bespoke grill and air vents and 20″ Diamond Turned alloys. The RRS Autobiography will also get two-tone leather interior and be available as either a 3.6 litre TDV8 or the full-fat Supercharged version. Land Rover are also debuting a new rear-seat package for the full-size Range Rover.
